what kind of bike should i get?!
-im 16
-5'8" 120lbs
-want to start racing motocross
-need something that will fit me for a long time
-need a reliable bike
-2-stroke, or 4.

List any bike that would be best for me!

to race either a 250f fourstroke or a 125 2 stroke.

Try to include the following info in your first post
1) your physical size (both height and weight are important)
-5'8" 120lbs

2) How physical / aggressive are you ?
-pretty aggressive

3) what do you plan to ride- MX/SX tracks, woods, fields with friends or ?????
-i want to start motocross racing, and i also like to ride with friends in woods/feilds etc.

4) Do you have any riding experience?
-ive been riding for about 3 months

5) Do you think you will race ?
-yes

6) Are you mechanically inclined and will you be doing your own bike work?
-yes

7) Do YOU have a preferance to a brand/ motor choice (2 or 4 stroke)?
-im leaning towards the 4-stroke, and any brand, doesnt matter to me. i was looking at the KX250F.

8) Do you have a dealer close by your home that you might use and what brand(s) does he carry?
-Bettencourts, carrys honda, suzuki, and kawasaki i think.

9) How much do you plan to spend on a bike?
how ever much it is, i dont care, ill save up for it, im only 16 and i dont really have anything to pay for, so ill be able to save up.

10) anything else that you think would help form an opinion
i want to start racing motocross, im hardly know anything about it, eccept it looks real fun, and intense. so im into that, and i also like going to the powerlines with my friends who trail ride. Thanks!

get any of the 250fs: honda crf250r, suzuki rmz-250, kawasaki kx250f, or yamahayz250f
for a used one look to spend 3000 and up for a good one
brand new they're like 5500-6000 , somewhere near there.

used 250f's go for $3000 and up. you can find good 125's for around $2000. at your weight, a 125 isn't a bad idea, but i'm always trying to swing the 2 strokers....hahaha

haha! thanks everyone, i think im most interested in the KX250F. does it matter if im tip-toed, or flat foot, etc. would that that effect racing skillz? thanks!

Not if you are 5'8". Also, there are only a couple of classes it can be raced in. Here it's the supermini class or 125 age group class.
