H Model Engine in a E Model Frame???

Has anyone put an H model Engine in a E Model Frame? I believe the upper engine mount is different but are all the other mounts the same? How about the exhaust, electrical etc....? There are a lot more MODs available to do on the newer engine and the KIPS is more reliable. Yeah I know the newer frames are better, I just have my suspension dialed in just the way I like, USD forks, Gold Valves etc.. and I like my cushy seat.

The 1995 and newer KDX's have low-boy pipes and that may not work too well with the E frame. The reservoir on an E shock points down to allow room for the high pipe, whereas the 1991 - 1994 KDX250 and 1995 and newer KDX200/KDX220 reservoirs point down to allow proper fit of the pipe.
You can look on www.buykawasaki.com to see that there are several part number differences in the electrical system.
Beyond a big bore kit, what other mods are available on an H that are not for an E??
You might have better luck to just transfer your forks to a newer model, plus the shock Gold Valve if you have that. Guts Racing might have a soft seat foam kit. Otherwise, buy a couch from a thrift store and cut up one of the seat cushions and have it swapped out with the H foam. It should be about the same. :-)

Coming from somebody who has a pretty modded out E series KDX and has ridden several modded out H series KDX's I wouldn't bother with doing it. Aside from being able to do a 225 kit there is no mod that I can't do to my E series that could be done on an H series. The KIPS is plenty reliable if you do any sort of regular maintenance to the top end and run a good clean oil.
