Yz 125 or yzf 250?

I've been racing the yz 125 and my dad said i can get a new bike to race and was eye balling the 2007 yzf 250 latley. I was thinking about just having the yz 125 for practice and the yzf 250 for a race only bike.

Any suggestions on wether to get another brand new yz 125 or a 2007 yzf 250? Any faqs about the yzf 250 against a yz 125?

Thanks

O yea sorry ive been racing for awhile, enough to get around the track fast enough. I train on a slippery, dry, dusty track.

I've been attracted to the four strokes latley bc of the props people has been giving them about there power...is it true that you can get around easier and flick around on the yz 125 than the yzf 250? Or do you just need more skill for the four stroke to really shine, if so i can make it possible.

I'm a bit older and probably a lot slower but I'll give you my input anyway. I recently switched from an 01 RM125 that I loved to an 05 CRF250. I liked my RM so much that I thought I would hate the CRF, figured it would seem heavy, slow and the engine breaking would bug me. But to my surprise I love the new bike. By the end of my fist day riding I felt faster. The 2-stroke was fun but the 4-stroke is easier to ride fast. In tight turns you just roll the throttle and the bike pulls hard. The bike feels a lot heavier when trying to get it up on the stand but you don't notice it when riding. And once you get a feel for the engine breaking you really don't notice it much. I don't see ever going back to a 2-stroke again. Try one of your friends if you get a chance.
