What is this thing, i was looking at MXaction and saw a add for it, does it tie in with the AMA Supercross title or is it kind of a show on the side?

Isn't it the kind of unofficial kickoff to next year's SX season where riders get to hop on 2007 bikes and tool around? I've always missed them so I'm somewhat in the dark too.

It has indeed become something of a tuner race with a nice pouch of cash for the winners.

More and more the top guys want to be there to get race time in on the new bikes before the AMA season starts. They have been historically pretty good races.

Not the same thing by a few hundred miles.. The Open is in Vegas, McGrath Invitational is in LA and on different nights.
