The Flight is a quality boot for the average rider at a good price. It does not offer the ankle support of say a Gaerne SG10 or Sidi Crossfire, but for a casual trail rider it is a good choice.

The new Hurricane (co-designed by Bob Hannah) appears to be a competitor to the SG-10 or Astar Tech 10s. I haven't tried it yet, but if it is anything like 661's other products, it should be a good one.

In the interest of full disclosure, I am sponsored by 661. That in no way influences my opinions. I use their products because I like them and would still buy them if not for my sponsorship.

o ok, yea, i was looking at the flight one. thing is that my local stores/shops don't have them so i cannot try them out
any online store were they have good deals on 661 boots?

It's really not a good idea to buy boots without trying them on ... the all fit differently. Sizing is different, some fit different shape feet better than others, etc.

true, the only ones i tried so far are the tech8, tech10, forma pro and sg10 and i really like the tech10 and sg10. but i'm looking at all the options. i'm only a casual rider that do trails/woods on the weekends

Casual rider or not, bad fitting boots suck

Given the boots mentioned above, the Flights are NOT in the same league feature, protection or price wise. If you have the scratch for the ones you mentioned, you'd be better off with any of them. I now use the SG-10s after years with Tech 8s and, so far, they are the best I've ever tried. If price is a consideration, given what you said about your riding, the Flights will probably be fine for you. But as Okie pointed out, boots can vary in size and fit, sometimes wildly, from one manufacturer to another. I can't recommend buying any boot mailorder without at least trying one on in a store first.
