TFS just called in to report that unfortunately RC won't be able to race at MXoN. RC will travel to UK probably tomorrow to give his support to Team USA
The #1 is being put right now on James's bike in a track near Matterley Basin where he'll start practicing in about a hour. With the #1 on his bike James will be the Team USA's direct contender of Stefan Everts in the MX1 class.
The weather here is just perfect right now.
MM
P.S. Thanks RC for trying so hard!!

Its raining real hard here right now and the forecast is not good for the weekend, I would say its going to be a tight result for any team

Does it ever NOT rain there?

Should be interesting. Mud def. favors the Euros.

If RC isn't riding you know he gave it his best. It takes a lot to put him on the sidelines.

This sucks.. I was so so so hopeing to see RC annhilate everybody in his last race.. The rain would have shown the world that nothing can stop him.. Imagine RC lapping the whole field again.... Well i hope JS doesn't F it up. With the Rain and all.. issed:

It's Official: Carmichael Will Not Race the MXdN

We just got off the phone with DC, and after everyone held out hope that Ricky Carmichael's injured shoulder would heal enough for him to be able to lead Team USA in the MX1 class at this weekend's Motocross des Nations, the champ just isn't ready and has regrettably pulled out of the race. RC's Factory Suzuki teammate Ivan Tedesco will take his place in the lineup.

Carmichael is due to arrive in England this afternoon to lend his support and leadership to Team USA.

The new lineup for Team USA's MXdN effort is:

MX1: James Stewart
MX2: Ryan Villopoto
MX3: Ivan Tedesco

Yeah,, RC has really learned to ride the mud the last few years, but Bubba still has trouble with it. Didn't second place go to DV in the last mud race?

Better hope the qualifyers don't mean anything

Posted by: Danger---------------------

Yeah your guys did good and it looks ominous for the rest of us based on the qualifiers results. USA gets first pick of the gate but it will come down to the race tonight.
Not much sleep to be had I'm picking.
