I am about to service the rear shock on my 2006 kx 250. How much nitrogen should I fill. How does higher/lower pressure affect the shocks performance?
I could also use some input on what oil to use.
/Thanks

2.5 weight suspension fluid, Motorex have a new shock specific one. 175psi. Higher pressure has an effect a little like running higher oil levels in your forks. Most specs call for 150-175 psi.

Johan the recommended shock oil is KYB K2C shock oil. Charge the bladder to 10 Kfg/cm2 ( multiply this figure by 14.22 to get PSI ) or 142psi, this is the factroy recommendation for your KYB shock. Check with your Kawasaki or Kayaba dealer eg. BM Lindahl Norrhult or Månsson in Ystad.
