How much $$$ am I looking at in tools needed to completely dissassemble and re-valve my forks?
Also can this be done by reading a lot about it and then attempting it, or should I have someone teach me how to do it?
Thanks fellas, cheers!

Can't give you a price in dollars, I'm based in Europe and I would estimate the right tools will cost you in the region of 500euros. One thing I would ask about the second part of your question is; what is your mechanical ability? I am a certified Motorcycle Mechanic and worked at a bikeshop for years ( I no longer work in the profession, but I do service my competition machines ) and I think with experience you get a feel for what you are doing. For example, a person with limited mechanical experience may incorretly install a suspension component, despite the fact that the person has clear instructions to follow. In turn this could lead to component damage or even rider injury. We all gain knowledge by reading information published by more experience mechanics or engineers, but I don't think it would be enough just to read up on suspension tuning without any prior mechanical background. Try search the many suspension shops throughout the US, some offer training and even franchise, I have no experience with any one shop, perhaps some other forum users could make a suggestion.
