Next year the 250Fs won't be running in the same class anymore. They will run against the 250 2 strokes.

Your 125 can get you to the top of the podium. A friend of mine has a KTM125 SX w/the only aftermarket parts being a FMF pipe and silencer. Two weekends ago he won the Extreme moto (which is 20min plus a lap) on that bike against highly modded 250fs and 450s. He won by 8sec. 4 of those guys being local pros. He's a top B rider in the state running aginst quite a few of the top A guys. It's all in the rider to put it on the podium.

do you think the cr125 or rm125 is better? what year is best? so you see anything wrong with a 2001 model? is that too old?

Posted by: bobbyhill925---------------------

most models 2001-2007 are unchanged besides engine, Chassis, Suspension Re-finements.

Like always i have one word to say " HONDA "

Why don't you just buy aftermarket parts for your 125? Me and you are about the same size and a 125 is good enough for me. But I just started riding so that migh thave something to do with it.

the honda is only a 5 speed

#1: the CRF250R has had many problems with their valves and springs, and the shocks are softened greatly with the added heat of the dual exhaust system for 06'-07'. #2: MXGirl230 is absolutely right. beginning Jan. 1, 2007, CC's race the same CC's no matter what stroke as far as the big bikes, so, if i were you, id either upgrade your current CR125, or buy a newer KX,SX, or YZ125(these 125's are my 3 favs out of the big five). an SX125 is the smallest and heaviest 125 you can buy with one of the worst suspension setups, but is the fastest out there. the YZ125 is the tallest, lightest, and second fastest one out there. the KX125( my personal favorite) has the most low-end and is about mid-sized for a 125, also, the KX is the 2nd lightest 125. but keep this in mind, its 95% rider, 5% bike. everyone say amen!

It was announced by our District president who was at the AMA meeting a few weeks ago. Also was the topic of discussion here
