Suspension differences between 00 and 06

Hey guys!
My front forks have been done by Pro-Tech and my rear shock by Pro-Action. I rode a yzf 250 06 with stock suspensions and I was surprised about how they were much better than mine. It looked as if I was riding on pillows (not that it was soft but it was so smooth compared to mine). Can 00 rebuilt forks and shock work as well as newer stock suspensions or the problem is only my settings?

Is there a lack of details? Is clarification needed?

Yes the 00 can be made much better than it is now , But there have been major improvements made in the fork departmenton the yz's from 2005 and up .

So you're saying that 00 forks and shocks be as good as 06 forks and shocks? Is that what you are saying?

Posted by: Pete Payne---------------------

to the point . NO . Your can be made much better than they are stock . But not as good as the newer twin chamber forks of the 05 , 06 , 07.

Ok thanks! Is that why I get that "pillow" sensation on newer bikes? Can I get my forks and shock to have that 3 valve body system? If yes at what cost?

mine came with the 3 valve body system and i love it on my bike.

I can get a good pillow effect. Not quite 06 suspension, but i can get it real good.

Nice stuff!

What do you mean by 3 valve body system? Do you mean 3 staged valving?

Posted by: trial_07---------------------

Yes I think that's what it is!
