Hello, I am new to the forum, and somewhat new to dirtbikes but have some riding experience. And I was wondering what kind of bike to get.

I am 14, 5' 8.5" and 125Lbs.
I intend to ride mainly on trails
But might goof off on the track some

P.S My friend has a stock 2003 Zuki RM 125 for 1800 and the price may be negotiable, would this be a good bike?
Thanks

That sounds like a good deal if it does not need to much work, you may need to do a top end rebuild

Thats a really good price, but I would check if theres something wrong with it. If you don't have that much experience I would go with a 125 2-stroke. I am 13 and a little shorter than you. I am selling my YZ85 and getting a 250 of some sort.

If you plan on just riding mostly trails and dont intended to do any serious jumping or any MX, you might want go with a trail bike like a TT-R or an XR.
A 4-stroke trail bike is going to be a lot less maintenance than a motocross bike.
