4-stroke or new 2-stroke..??

Currently, Im riding a 96' KX250...loved the bike from the first ride...BUT....

A couple weekends ago I rode my buddies YZF450, and the bike handling and comfort blew me away...I was very suprised on how well it handled and it got me thinking about maybe ditching my 2-stroke for the new 4-stoke....but my question is...could I get similar results (better handling, comfort) with a newer 2-stroke....I mean, my KX is 10 years old now, certainly it is way behind the times...I just want to ride and feel like im in control...I thought I was with my KX, but once I rode the YZF I realized how much I have to work at keeping my bike under control on alot of the terrain here in Nevada.

So what do you think, new big bad 4-stoke or a newer better version of my current 2-stroke...??
