Kx250f springs

Hi, first time here. Looking for info.... My oldest son raced a 2005 kx250f this year. He weighs 120 lbs so we had the suspension done for his weight. CCycle did the work and it was great. However during our last practice session the case on the motor cracked behind the kickstarter for no apparent reason and I'm not confident about running the bike this coming year. Does anyone know if the springs from the 05 will be usable on an 07 or do I have to buy new? They only have a few races on them.

The 2007 KXF 250 runs Showa suspension and the 05 uses Kayaba, the suspension components are not compatible.

Thank you for the info.
I knew about the showa change but was hoping for a spring compatibility. Figures! There goes some more money I guess.
Lowbudgit racing gets even lower!
