OK well i have a 1993 kdx 250 i got it about 6 months ago and it ran fine allwasy started up intill one day i noticed the gear fluid levelin the case wasent full it was at hafe. so add some gear oil intill it was higher then the littel gage on the side of the case was filled. after doing that hit smokes like hell and fouls sparkplugs like every 2 seconds. i caint get down the street with out it dieing out. when i take the plug out its all wet and soked in oil. could the problum be that theres to mutch oil in the case and its geting into the cylender?????? please help cause i love to ride.

Did you try draining 1/2 the oil out and see if it returns to normal. I have one and just go 1/2 way up the site glass, maybe a little more but not all the way past.

k thanks ill give it a try.. you think its geting up in the cylender and thats why its smokeing?? but if it is do u think the wring might be bad?

It might be getting into the cylinder and will for a while until the oil is burned out. If you can push the kickstarter down pretty easily by hand then you need new rings.

i'd agree with the 1st fella try draining some oil and less 2 stroke oil in ya mix if needed try adjusting your throttle needle

It sounds like your crank seals are leaking. The seal is there to keep the oil in the transmission from getting into the crankcase among other things. You can perform a leak down test to confirm this. There may be some others on this forum who have other methods to confirm your seal are leaking. The symptoms sound exactly like an old yamaha blaster that my son had . The seals may be a real bear to change you'll want to get a service manual before you tear into the motor.
Good luck!
