Broome Tioga replaced with Texas, what do you guys think?

Well the goal was to bring the nationals to fans in other geographic areas. Being a guy who is originally from the Northeast I really enjoyed having so many Nationals in my surrounding area but for fans in the middle of the country they were really out of luck unless they wanted to travel to the East or West Coast to see a race. Granted there has always been Millville and Red Bud but if your living in Texas, Oklahoma, Wyoming, Colorado, etc that is still a long way away. So the addition of Lakewood two years ago and now Freestone Raceway next year, the AMA has done a better job of spreading the nationals across the country. It still is sad to see Broome Tioga go though.

So for you guys in Texas and Oklahoma, what is Freestone Raceway like?

I hear that, now if "they" could spread a supercross to the Northeast...

Why? There is already one in Delmont and one at Mt. Morris.

AAh...isn't this thread about the '07 Nationals and not Supercross

Humm..... A National just south of Dallas? Yeah. Bummer.
NOT!

As JST122 stated... it's about time there are Nationals in the middle of the country.
Good move on their part, I'd say that even if it wasn't close to home. MX is very large in Texas as well, you can bet there will be a huge turn-out. Should be very successful.

I've never been to Freestone, will have to check it out.

The pictures from the beginnings of the track were pretty cool. I haven't seen or looked in a while but I bet it's mucho betterer. Not much in elevation changes though....
