hey everyone. Im 14 and currently have an 03 CRF150F. im looking for a bigger bike, but dont know what brand and whether to go 2 or 4. I mostly ride woods/backyard but i will go to the track occasionally. please help

You should look into: Crf250x, kdx200, kx/rm/yz/cr 125
Stay away from: Crf230f tt-r 230

think to yourself: do you mind maintaining a motorcycle?
If not, the kdx 2 stroke is about as easy to maintain as your current bike.
also, you could consider something else from the xr line, just keep in mind they suffer at the track.

i agree with both of your responses, except telling him to look at a CRF250X, he's only 14. im 14, and i wouldnt want to ride something that heavy. a 125 would be a more logical choice, even if you are going to ride in the woods . since your 14, id look into either a KX125 or RM125. a CR125 doesnt have that much power, especially 2004 and older. the SX( KTM) and YZ125s are targeted at more experienced riders, wanting to start racing. the KTM is the fastest 125, but has one of the worst stock suspension setups, and the YZ is very tall. the KX and RM125s are the same height and weight, but they have different suspension setups and handle differently. the power output on the KX ( and most likely any other MX bike) depends on the year model. im on a 2000 KX125 and its has a lot on top, whereas my friends 2004 KX125 has a lot of low-end/torque. just ride a couple of 125s and tell us what you think .

hey bro, it doesnt always matter how old he is, I turned 15 in october and I would not be wise to get a 125 for woods riding, im 6'1'' and weigh in at 220. It's not like i'm fat, I just do a lot of weight training. Also, hows this? His current bike weighs 216 pounds dry!

Hey, i havent had a bike in a awhile and i was wondering what i should get. im 14, 15 in march, 5-5 5-6, 130 i should only grow till about 5-9 . i ride 98% woods and the rest is not much different. i need somethin that will fit me for a while, take some jumps and wont cost the most. i was lookin at the kx100 and everything else above that the seat is to high and i cant touch ground 34" is the most i can go

I made the transition to 4t bikes, but grew up on 2t mxer's. I love the 4t. I will say this though. I rode my buddies RM-250 over the weekend, and it was... kind of refreshing! I can't answer 4t or 2t, but......RIDE RED
