which is a better used bike?

should i get a 2000 rm 250, 2000$
or
2003 kx 250 2200$

considering they're both in nice looking/running condition.
Any advantages of the newer bike?

2003 kx 250, newer and more aftermarket parts available for it. Like auto clutch etc... I would pay 200.00 more for a bike thats 3 years newer if there in the same condition

Id go with the KX. $25 spark plugs are just 2 crazy. Or do the newer RM's not use special plugs?

How often do you really need to replace a plug, though? As long as you don't foul it, the plug will last many times longer than the rings.

I would go with the newer bike. Plus yellow is ugly.

Bottom line if all bikes were absolutely in equal condition I'd get the newest bike avaiable. Other than that I'm going to purchase the bike that is in the absolute best condition.

I suggest going with the newest bike your budget will allow. Just pick your favorite color.

P.S. I ride an 03RM250. I would pick the 03 KX over a 00 RM. # years of advancement there.

+1, Chili. the KX would be a better option. everyone made big advancements in 03' . itll probably be in better condition too.

kx250 is sold, but i'm gonna try at the rm250, i can get it for 1700
