Getting a new bike need advice

I'm getting back into dirtbikes after 6 years of being out.
1) 6' and 230 lbs
2) Medium aggressiveness
3) Woods riding, enduros, turkey runs maybe hare scrambles.
4) I used to ride for about 10 years or so. Haven't ridden in 6 years.
5) I will race only to have somewhere to ride. More interested in having a good time.
6) I am somewhat mechanically inclined. Can do a top end job but probally not much more.
7) 2 stroke or 4 stroke not sure
8) Many dealers are nearby.
9) Price does not matter.
10) I'm probally more concerned with a light bike than a powerful bike. I want something I can throw around the woods with. Also don't want to spend tons of time on maitenance. I live in southern connecticut so I will be riding tight woods mostly (thats why I want something light)
Thanks for the information.

either a 250F or a 250 would be fun for ya

Yamaha WR450 would suite you nicley for a 4 Stroke, or a KTM 300 for a 2 Stroke. Good machines, plenty of dealer support.

Ktm 200xc-w is light, nimble powerful and perfectly suits you.

Whats the big difference between a KTM 250 and a KTM 200. I've heard 4 strokes require alot of maintenance and a 300 seems like overkill on power. I'm not worried about having an abundance of power.

The new 4 strokes require much maintenance. If you want the 250, go for it, the 200 makes less low end torque and power, but revs easier. You did'nt state what previous bikes you've owned, that would help.

The last bike I owned was a 1999 RM 250. Before that I had a WR200 and a couple of CR125's. Most of these were when I lived out west and we would go to the dunes and the woods were more open.
