Weird Noise...Maybe Water Pump

Hey i have a 1992 kdx 200. A couple of rides ago while i was letting my bike worm up, it made a weird winding like noise and the bike shook a little bit. It did it for a couple of seconds and stoped. The same thing happen when i was riding on thanksgiving. but now it is happening more and more and is getting to the point where it is happening every time i stop. Could this be my water pump, and if it is how can check. Thanks for your help also the bike is not overheating
