No, not at all.

It is common for certain parts of a bike to stay the same from year to year. Sometimes the entire bike can stay the same from year to year, while other times only certain parts will change.

For example, I know that on my 1986 Yamaha YZ-125 the engine is the same from 86 through 88. Radiators are the same from 86 up to 91 or so. Rear brake lever is the same from 85 to 86.
