, and the KTM is the fastest with one of the worst suspension setups. my KX has gotten me through, i would consider looking into getting a used 125 2T, you could probably get a good 2000-2004( if youre lucky) with the amount you plan on spending.

. the RM is set soft for a beginner like Matt said, but that can start physically hurting you once you start hitting bigger jumps. the KX's power output can go either way, not sure on the RM. my 00' KX125 has a lot of mid-top end because it has a Pro Circuit pipe that is designed for that range, but my friends 04' KX125 has a FMF Fatty pipe that is designed for low-end. they both excel in their individual areas, so with every mod or year model, the power id differently outputted. im sure thats true for all the other brands, but what i just told you was from personal experience, cant say that about the others

The KDX makes for a much better trail bike and with the suspension worked in for your weight and riding it would be far better. I am 14 and ride a IT175 and weigh anothe buck on him. The KDX would be alot better for a beginner.
