hey everyone, im thinking about buying a yz85 and im not quite sure if it's the bike i want. i love the bike though because my friend has one and i tried it many times. im wondering if theres much maintenance that needs to be put in to the bike. any other suggestions would be great. and one more thing. im 5'10 and 125 pounds.

Well... You have a KX100 so whay not just get the YZ125? It is bigger than what you got.

Where do you live? I dont see why you would downgrade from the kx100.

im 13 and i have a pw80 now..the xr 100 is what my friend put there.

Oh. Well... that was misleading. But anyways. Then yes the Yz85 will be fine for you. You will like i alot over the PW80

Why do you list a KX100 as your bike?

Your 13, 5'10" and 125 lbs. You will more than likely continue to grow. An 85 is too small of a bike for you. You should be looking at a 125 2-stroke MX bike or a 250F 4-stroke MX bike.

As a side note, I'm 5'11" and ride a 250 MX bike. I do weigh a bit more than you though.

The 80 will be fun till your friends see you on it. I would get somthing bigger. Esspecially for your height. I am 5 10 and I am too crowded on the 80's

at 13 y/o and with you currently riding a PW80, i would get a 125 2T. the Yamaha is the biggest of the lot, but also on the more expensive side, so it may or may not be the right choice for you. fill out the form at the top of this sub-forum, authored by Okie, titled under "Announcement", i didnt follow the previous poster's link, but that may be it.
