I herd that the 2008 RMZ450 is going to have fuel injection, anyone else hear this?

I heard this, not this specific model, but of fuel injection for 2008

A fairly reliable scource told me just the RMZ450 for 2008, Suzuki already has a fuel injected 450 4 wheeler. Im sure the rest will follow for 2009.

i dont know which manufacturers will have it by 2008 but i'm sure a few of them will, ATK (USA made bike) already has a 450 four-stroke bike with fuel injection out on the market. go to atkusa.com check em out they even have electric start on the MX bikes!!

I saw an ATK today, the radiator shrouds were part of the tank and held fuel.

If you have fuel injection does that mean you must have a battery too?

Not necessarily. I think one fuel injected bike (possibly one of the earlier GasGas FSE400's) used a capacitor hooked up to the kickstarter to give the initial charge when starting, then the stator put out enough power to power the injectors after that. Not sure though so don't quote me on it.

I don't know about GasGas, but this is basically how Artic Cat did it on their ZR line of snowmobiles. Some pull of the rope charged the system, the second started the sled. EFI with no battery.
