Anyone ever check it out? It's near McAllisterville, PA. There are loops for off road and dual sport bikes. All you need is a spark arrestor - no permits, registration, etc.

for info:

Look under 'motorized trail bike riding"

Do you know how many miles of trails there are?

Someone has told me 30 miles of trails.

Is this the place? It shows 7 miles of trails.

No - it's Shade Mountain - to the South of there, I think. Look here =

In anycase, I call one of the state forest rangers and we talked a while about places for dirt bikes to ride and he said that the place in Bald Mt is the only location legal for bikes and it only has 7-8 miles of trails.

The Shade Mountain area has 2 seperate areas. One is for dual sports, the other for off road only. The entire area is called the 'Shade Mountain Trail System'. In addition, the Allegheney National forest is legal for dirt bikes.

It sounds to me like the ranger was talking out his @sshole.
