Which Header for XR600?

I am about to fit an FMF Powercore 4 to my 98' XR6, will this silencer be as effective with the stock header or do I need to look at an FMF Powerbomb/Hi Flow etc, and can someone tell me if the FMF silencer is adabtable with other brands of headers, just to widen my options if necessary? thanks
