hey, my old man has just done a bottom end on a mates bike. had the thing runing sweet and out of nowhere the inlet gear had jumped a tooth!! he said the tensioner was bent when he pulled it out, so he just straitened it! ne ideas on what could have caused the gear to jump a tooth?

sounds to me like the tensioner was to blame. I wouldn't straighten it, I would just get a new one. Just my two cents.
