so I can get either of these two machines. both are in excellent condition, and both cost the same amount.
they are willing to do a topend rebuild on whichever I take.
so which one?

2001 RM. Newer, great handling bike, lots of top end power. The YZ is great too, but a little older and not as good handling.

I'd get the newest bike in your budget.

test drive both bikes, then get the one that most appeals to you.
also, if you have a good yamaha or suzuki dealer near you, go with that brand. cause its hell trying to deal with a crappy dealer
