The bottle normaly sits under the fuel tank and the fill is accessed from under the seat. Best bet would be to remove the fitting and hose from the rubber carb intake boot and plug it with either a machined plug or you can use a 6mm bolt (thats how mine was when i bought it). You can remove the oil injection mechanisim behind the kickstarter area and make a blanking plate up quite easliy just use the existing gasket as a template i made mine from a offcut of 3mm aluminium plate but a mate made his out of plastic. The throttle cable can be replaced so to get rid of the splitter i made mine using a bike cable and reused the fittings and cable ends from the original cable (just make sure you measure the lengths of the existing cable inner and outer) Resolder the cable ends on and all done. My mates bike has a bought cable im not sure whats its off (non SR KDX???) if you took your original cable to a bike shop or wrecker they should be able to match something up without the splitter. The throttle will feel snappier with out the split cable. There will also be a wiring plug under the fuel tank for the oil injection reservoir/bottle, as it has a level switch that illuminates one of the warning lamps on the dash when the oil level runs low. You can just leave that unpluged. Let me know if there is anything else you need to know,
