RMZ250 2007 Fork position

Has anyone played around with the fork position on their Suzuki RMZ 250 2007?
I am riding sand tracks and find the front wants to knife in a lot. If I come into the corner on the gas it is better.
I was going to move the forks down in the clamps. At the moment I have at least 7mm of fork exposed.

I have now increased the fork compression to keep the front up going into turns and this has helped with the knifing in. I think I'll fit stiffer springs.
