I believe someone tried posting that disgusting clip before! Can I check them frame numbers and where are the helmets?Much of this will certainly help cleansing the gene pool, but at what price?

Posted by: Matt 193---------------------

These idiots are going to get dirt bikeing shut down in maryland eventually. I saw another one of these clips were they say cops can take our bikes we will go and get more. The only way for them to do that whenever is from stealling them and selling drugs. I want most of them to fil and crack there heads so they relize how dumb they are.

Posted by: whenfoxforks-ruled---------------------

Oh no,if they fall and get hurt its the evil dirtbike's fault!Pffffffft!

Posted by: Moose---------------------

I drove to a place I ride today just to check it out and see who's riding, and I see some idiot riding down the highway, doing a wheelie on the shoulder.

Gives us all a bad name, and is not cool by any means.

Posted by: derek the 2 stroke---------------------

This is gonna cause them to ban the sell of OHVs in baltimore.Freakin stupid people need to grow up,buy some gear and find a track.

Posted by: RedBull---------------------

crap makes me sick

Posted by: FruDaddy---------------------

I say chase them, after a few of their skulls get cracked open, the survivors should magically become smarter. The no-chase policy just tells them that they don't have to care since they can run off and dissappear. No penalty for violation = no reason to obey the law.

The cop chases that guy on the bike, brings a 3000-4000 pound car into the chase, now who's lives are in danger? Riders, Cops and even more civilians.

Which is the smarter decision to YOU?

Posted by: trial_07---------------------

(Pulling out a chair and sitting comfortably) This is a good debate.

Posted by: DannyMoto07---------------------

I think it is smarter to let them ride it out... however, you need to find where they're STORING them. Someone gets a description of a bike or quad, posts it online or in the local super-market... you'll get tons of hits within the hour...

It's not about stopping them when they're doing it... it's about getting their rides before they can do it again.

Dan

(Now can you please stop deleting my posts?)

Posted by: sixds---------------------

those guys are so dumb. but i agree, after a few of their heads get cracked open they will smarten up.

i dont think they would even let them into a local riding facility wearing baggy pants and baggy shirts with nothing more on their head than a bandana

Posted by: KX02---------------------

Why are they even on dirt bikes? Because they don't have license plates or something. They should be riding street bikes on the street right?

Posted by: sixds---------------------

probably because dirt bikes are easier to steal....

Posted by: Moose---------------------

Cheaper.

Posted by: slinger34---------------------

Why can't the police arrest them while there at the gas station. If the news people have enough time to get video, They would be sitting ducks.

Posted by: derek the 2 stroke---------------------

Follow them in unmarked cars, set up a sting, wait at gas stations use helicopters. It would be too easy to put theese guys in jail if they just did some of this.

Posted by: friar tuck---------------------

Where can I get a giant t-shirt like that? :-D

Posted by: sixds---------------------

6XLT, even if you're supposed to wear a medium!

Oh yeah, that ought to helps things right the heck out

Posted by: Jaybird---------------------

A dirt bike police squad could easily twart this problem. Simply ride around with these creeps until they run out of gas. None of them have big tanks.

Throw the book at each and every one of them they catch and things will change.

The police using the "public endangerment" excuse simply doesn't cut it with me. I find the cops who can't figure out how to solve this problem are just as ignorant as the idiot perpetrators. And make no mistake...big cities are FULL of cops who have no business being cops, and were themselves a part of this group of heathern bassturds.

And if one of the dirt bike Dad's decides to protest the arrest and confiscation, night stick his sorry hide hard, with the first sign (or less) of aggression.

Posted by: stevensj2---------------------

The thing that I think is so bad about this is that even if the city does build a track, trails, etc, 99% of these guys would never use it.

These guys aren't dirt bike riders desperately trying to get into MX racing or trail riding, but have no place to ride.

They are just following a new trend in trying to show off, be flashy, etc. They will keep their bikes on the city streets where they can be seen, heard, etc.

It's absolutely ridiculous the shear number of them on the highway, and the lax attitude the police are having about it. Rather than criminalize the PEOPLE doing the crime, this "look the other way" situation is criminalizing the SPORT.

The people doing it are left alone while it is the bikes that are being made out as the problem.

Nothing but pure ignorance all around; the bikers, the police...

But on one hand, I can imagine these guys will crash their bikes often, ride them incorrectly, and not give them the best care. These bikes can't be lasting too long, and hopefully it is only a matter of time before they become a financial liability these guys can't afford.

Posted by: georgieboy---------------------

Damn, these guys ride better wheelies than i.
It is better that they stay off the dirttracks since they are better than any motocrosser i know of.

Posted by: Moose---------------------

Watch them from the air and see where they retreat too, that'd be the smart (and safe) thing to do. Once they're at home, then pursue it.

Like I said, chasing them only puts more people in danger.

Posted by: 04rm125---------------------

damn, i wish i could wheelie like that (not on the road tho)

theres a lot of great ideas you guys have here, the problem could be salved, all you guys are thinkin of really good stuff, but i havent herd anyone of you incorparate money into this. that looks like its in a pretty poor or unrespected place. so were is the P.D. going to get all this money for....hilacoptors, unmarked cars, gas station stakeouts. not sure

That is a good point.

But at the same time, it could be argued that it only takes 2 police cars to block off a street, and not a single penny to pull out a gun and yell "Freeze!"

It looks like they are often on a small residential street. The neighbors have to be complaining, so I am sure its location is no mystery.

There is a lot of political nonsense that goes into decisions made by the police, and I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see that it isn't money, but an ulterior agenda, that has the police so lax about doing anything.

I'd imagine the dialogue to go something like this:

--- The Gov't, City, and Police drink scotch over a dimly-lit hardwood table ---

Government: We don't like dirt bikes. They should be banned.
City: Agreed. But we cannot do that unless the police have filed reports of a problem.
Police: Correct you are, sir. Though we first need complaints. But, without anyone riding them, no one can make complaints.....hmmm...what shall we do..

** The TV comes on in the background: BREAKING NEWS! Thugs on drit bike terrorize city! **

Gov't, city, and police together:Well well!

--- The three ding their glasses together and relax, smugly smiling in thought ---

HA your funny

do you think ANY of them could even ride at a normal mx track. even an easy one. they would start sliding on the dirt cuz they are used to pavement. they wouldnt be able to jump cuz they are used to flat ground.

but it would be funny watching them try to do wheelies and then hit a jump....

to stop it why not drop those things that pop tires. they will start going THUNK THUNK THUNK and will stop. fine their tire messed up and be screwed.

down side to that is that it would pop car's tires though....

Posted by: 04rm125---------------------

no, in that place, cops do not ever want to pull out a gun rite away, my uncles a cop and deals with some of this stuff. he said that the first thing they tell you to do if your going to pull out your wepon is you want to make sure none of them are armed also......he said that if he(the cop) were to pull out his gun and point it at someone im that place to get them to stop what they were doing, one of there "homies" might be armed and might feel the need to protect there group and open fire at the cop.

Posted by: 2stroke---------------------

Sad fact. I live here. Ive seen this crap for years. Ive had bikes stolen. Its a market. Probably easier to pick up a hot bike in Baltimore than a hot gun.

98 percent of these bikes are STOLEN. None of these turkeys would show up for a "legal" riding spot even IF they made one, which I think they will NOT.

.

BUT, you know at HQ downtown they have a basement FULL of these bikes, and I heard last year that they ship some of them out of country for missionaries....so somewhere the old preacher man is doing one handed wheelies through the bush on your old race bike.

Posted by: nsxxtreme---------------------

I'll agree these guys are idiots. No helmets and just total disrespect.

But I would like to also point out that in the beginning it mentioned how the city wasn't interested in finding a place for these people to ride. A lack of public places to ride could be a large part of the problem.

Posted by: haltoman---------------------

I sure hope Darwin was right.

Posted by: mjbike---------------------

When they do get hurt I'll bet 9 out 10 don't have insurance and guess who pays the hospital bills.
We can only hope "thinning the herd" theory plays out.

HAHAHAHAHHAHA

Posted by: Okiewan---------------------

Yup, that's some funny stuff right there.

Posted by: smoke9---------------------

Ok.. I've got an idea. We can use the tried and true political spin strategy of using the worst of society to profit on a bad situation.....

We get the AMA and the ACLU together and make a case that the "poor, disenfranshised inner city kids" don't have a place to ride and need government funding (our tax dollars) for a national riding area program.

Posted by: kdx633---------------------

one if them is guaranteed to get killed by a legitimate motorist who then get sued by some opportunistic lawyer that will make the family of the deceased very rich.the insurance carrier will then then force a dirtbike clause into auto insurance increasing premiums. Some idiot in congress from the district the dead dope came from will introduce legislation against the dirt bike, lefty liberals from each coast will all jump on board in support then the fight to ride takes a turn for the worst.sound far fetched? look at what has happened to firearm owners and substitute dirt bike

Posted by: motodr9---------------------

Oh, GREAT! Like we don't already have enough pressure on riding areas and (real) dirtbikers. These fools just want attention. A few gots some wheelie skills though.

Posted by: trakkerman---------------------

The only thing I can get outta this report is: If you want an MX Park built in your city, get all your friends to ride their bikes on the streets.

Posted by: _JOE_---------------------

Aparently this newscaster didn't see the clip of the little kid on the cr 250 riding down the street. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IlhKA5twuyc

Posted by: sixds---------------------

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CGaOUxLX44&NR=1

i find it funny how he says, "we push these bikes to the limit."

at least in that video there was a guy wearing a helmet.

Posted by: OnAnySunday---------------------

Wow.
I'm still lifting my jaw off of the floor.
Unbelievable stupidity.
Lack of respect for the law & society.
Unbelievable stupidity. (did i say that already??)

You'd think if they could steal the bikes, they could steal a helmet or 2?
I see a few around here though. quads, & dirtbikers ON THE AZTEC TRACK no less -w- no helmets no gear.......

Unbelievable stupidity............

wow.

Posted by: 2stroke---------------------

Hmmm...
gives me an idea...

Ive got no place close to ride, but the city line is literally 1000 feet away from my house. So, all I need to do is push one of my bikes across, hop on and go! Police can't chase me, and Ill even promise to wear a helmet, ok?
Theres a nice public golf course a few miles away with some rolling hills. 'course if Im all aone out on the course, the local law enforement might actually be tempted to try and pick me off, guess it would be safer to stick to the streets around all those innocent motorists!

thank God i don't live there. im sure dirtbikers don't have a very good rep around there... regardless of if they ride on the streets or not.

After listening to that dry idiot, with his statements of "interrogation" and "serious crime", I have to ask how he would feel if a 7 year old were riding a dirtbike down the sidewalk in his neighborhood. What if the kid were to run into his car? Or over his kid? He mentioned that the kid was scared: good, if more kids are scared to break the law, then maybe they will realize that the laws should be obeyed. I also must note that simply asking questions is construed as interrogation by those that want to bring controversy. I also interpreted the story as the kid was detained (not arrested) and release to his parents, who will probably try to sue the cops with the exaggerations and twisted truths, thus showing the little boy that he has no reason to respect authority figures.

Posted by: _JOE_---------------------

I agree 100%

oh my!!!!!!

they be keepin' it real

Anyone that goes ahead and condemns dirt bikes because of this is no sharper than someone who would condemn black people for it. But then, we see exactly that kind of crap all the time.

Exactly.

Posted by: 1989kx250---------------------

cant hardly argue with the law, they've got their reasons for the way they do the things they do. can't just go around chasing and shooting everyone who does something dumb.

Posted by: peanuts---------------------

Walker, Texas Ranger would.

Posted by: sspmxc400---------------------

Just joking but --- a couple of vigilante dirtbikers (in gear) need to throw a few block passes to get a message accross.

Hard to throw a block pass when you're always riding in a straight line.

Here's what happens when the cops try to chase a dirtbike

ITS ALL LOVE -NIGGA - DANG RIGHT NIGGA NIGGA NIGGA NIGGA--

EVERY WORD OUT OF HIS FILTHY MOUTH!!-
THIS IS TERRIBLE-
bad- giving kids bad ideas-, ruining the gift of riding!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: peanuts---------------------

I think it would be more accurate to say that's what happens when the cops try to drive cars on train tracks.

I don't have a problem with it. This country is getting pretty retarded if that is a real crime.

you see no problems with unregistered, uninsured vehicles disobeying all traffic laws on busy highways?

Posted by: Chris in Denver---------------------

Nope. No more than registered, insured bikes given that at least I know they are uninsured and unregistered. Unlike the hundreds of cars that look registered but are not. Or look insured but are not.

Are you a politician? This sounds alot like, "it's not illegal if you don't get caught." Sounds even more like the rationale on the illegals in this country that proclaim to be immigrants.

you mean even if you don't get caught, it's still illegal?

Posted by: jcarautos1---------------------

I think the only smart thing they said is that they were looking into a dirt track but these people that dont obey the law should have their bikes confiscated. The road is dangerouse for street bikes let alone a dirt bike that doesn't have road tires on it. Dont get me wrong having fun is good and all but a blatent disrespect for the law and other people is just stupid.

You know what...it actually would. A well placed sniper round by law enforcement, in one side of the helmet and out the other. About 1 per week and I'd be willing to bet if this activity didn't cease completely, it would be drastically reduced. Now, that will never happen, but it would sort it out, and, in my opinion, it is not totally unjustifiable. It is wreckless endangerment on their part, and at any point they could easily create an accident which causes others' death(s). If one of them fired up a chain saw and started toward a crowd, they'd be filled with lead in an instant...even if their intention was to have a little fun and scare a few people.

In a just world, an officer should be able to take these folks out on public roads by force... car, weapon, whatever.

Disagree with me now, agree with me after there are innocent fatalities...say a mini-van full of youngsters with their mom.

I'm just sayin', it isn't so of an idea to me.

Posted by: 250girl---------------------

I don't think people should freak out about bikes on a public road.I live on a backroad, and have to ride on it to get to the trails. To get to some of the good trails you have to ride on the highway.Around here, people are begining to call the cops and freak out at bikers because of the noise level and dangerous driving. The Dirt bikers drive like idiots, putting bikers and drivers at risk and make huge amounts of noise,If they would just obey the rules of the road and save the major noise for the track or trails, this neighbourhood would be much more biker-friendly.It is the idiots who can't ride nicely till they get to the trail that wreck it for everybody else that does drive nicely. But some of the people around here are a little too touchy about bikers and need to realize that they should move back to the city if they hate the sound of bikes, because this is a popular biking area.

Posted by: Patman---------------------

It doesn't matter who was there first it matters who does the most about their viewpoint. Complain to the cops, government, etc... will get you a lot further along than crying about it on an internet forum.

Posted by: 2strokerfun---------------------

I came in late. I see a rogue gang of donorcycles.
Bad for the streets.
Good for the organ banks.

Posted by: Yamajoe250F---------------------

WOW What the ****? Jeez talk about posers that cant obey the laws then when one of their ( Homeboys) Gets killed they say it was the car that turned in front of hims fault.

I hope they eat concrete very soon , not even part of the sport at all.

Posted by: Pushin50---------------------

This is just a commercial for a DVD these wing nits hope to sell. All they can do is wheelie down the road. Big deal! Who is going to pay money to watch that? I would like to see these idiots ride some sand whoops or climb some steep hills. If these unskilled riders did that they would have the best wipe out video ever.

Posted by: truespode---------------------

There was a follow up to this by Fox News and there was a guy wanting to build a riding park for them to go and ride at. The reason it got shot down was that there was a lack of interest.

They even quoted a guy saying that a riding wouldn't do no good b/c the thrill is doing it in traffic.

Ivan

Posted by: whenfoxforks-ruled---------------------

What is important to them is exactly what you see. Their block, and that is it. Everything and anything beyond that does not matter, huh, what to bet!

Posted by: a454elk---------------------

Just another set of morons looking for attention. I don't think that that group of idiots will change the look of the real dirt riders. Most are smart enough to realize that they relate the stupidity to the person and not the mode of transport. Police chasing them will only ignite their game. Catching them off-guard or off the bike is the way to handle it. Police have to be more proactive and set up a task force of officers that will go out and grab the bikes at rest. They obviously know where they are so they need to go and get them. Like I said, you'll just see the chase videos on you tube. It can be handled, they just aren't thinking outside the box.

I'm thinking joint task force with out of state agencies....
