Am i getting ripped off?

A guy i work with is selling his 1984 Honda 250XL street n trail bike. He was originally asking 2300 for i but i got him to 1900 which my uncle says is a high price still. the bike is in perfect condition and runs great, only 7500km on the engine. Can anyone give me advise as to which to buy this or not?

$1500.00 tops. And the bike should be mint at 2000.00

I think thats a little high. I'm no expert by any means, but depending on HOW GOOD the condition of it is, I'd say somewhere around $1500(?)

Look on craigslist for going prices. That should help.

I dont think he'll go any lower but ive been looking for a long time and cant seem to find a decent 250cc for under 3k

If you are talking $1900 Canadian...seems about right if its in good shape. Just realize that it is over 20 years old and parts will be hard to find and costly when you do find them. Does the bike you get have to be street legal? Im sure you can find a much newer 250 2-stroke for the same price if you look around. Good luck

doesnt have to be street legal, i was originally looking for a dirt bike but since the one im looking at is street legal its just a bonus.
