Sand Dunes and the tires

I plan on going to some sand dunes before the summer is over. Do i absolutely need the sand tires or is it alright to ride with dirt tires on. I just want to know if it will cause me to spill out more than a enough times to p1$$ me off.

you'll be okay with knobbies. paddles are much better but not a necessity.

you can have too many paddles on your tire if you go that route. i forget, jay how many on a big bike? is it 6?

If you go to the dunes you will need to prep your bike for it. Do a search for sand prep. Your bike will never run the same or not at all if you do not go prepaird.
