North Carolina Sand Dunes

Hello All,
I just recently moved down to the Statesville, North Carolina (1 hour above Charlotte) area.
I have been hearing different things about sand dunes over near the coast of NC.
My question is: Is there any sand dune areas that actually permits dirt bikes to ride in NC?
I tried Google, but didn't really find anything.

I dought they will let you do any dunes on the NC coast, they are big on trying to keep the beaches from eroding now. They don't even want you on the dunes with your feet. Your best bet to find some sand is closer than you think. Richmond county has loads of sand and some MX tracks to boot.
