Spark Arrestor for CRF450R

Do I need a spark arrestor to ride my CRF450R in the woods? Where is the cheapest place to get one?

to ride in any US park you do. you need a usfs approved one. they sell inserts that are like 20 bucks i think.

if you want to quiet you bike too fmf makes a muffler with a sparkarrestor. the q4. will quiet it and has that spark arrestor.

I live in VA. Can I get an insert at the Honda dealer?

Rocky Mountain Motorsports... www.rockymountainmc.com usually have good deals. Plus, most of the time, you spend $100 or more, the shipping is free... And you're definately going to spend more than a $100.

Good news. More than likely, yes. Call up your local Honda shop and ask. I just did so over the weekend. I'm looking for ride the mountains and need a spark arrester. Here in Calif., it'll run me $130ish. I am sure it will be about the same price in VA.

Check out www.promotobillet.com They should have an add on spark arrester to fit you bike.

Cheapest would be PROMOTOBILLET
you will have to drill out the riveis out of the back of your muffler,
hammer off the muffler end cap, then slip in the PROMOTOBILLET
then attach 5 new rivits.

It cost about $130 plus your labor to remove your current end cap
and re-rivit the new one.

New end cap allows you to insert the screen or take it out.

Most motorcycle shops have them instock for the honda.
