Need Feedback ASAP!! Rocky Ridge

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Planning to head out to Rocky Ridge in the morning for the first time in about 9 years. How is it? I'm not a big "trails" guy. I primarily ride MX, and just want to go have some fun. I prefer to avoid the track this weekend. Any feedback would be appreciated! OH! and directions anyone? Can;t find an address online.

I have never been ther myself, but I am betting if you run a search in the Smack Pack you should get a number of hits ...

Select search above
then advance search from the menu

Rocky Ridge is OK if you don't want technical woods riding. There are a lot of fast, fun trails, but there's usually a lot of traffic, so be careful.

Directions to Rocky Ridge from Metroplex

Head north on I35 to Denton
Past Denton on I35 to Sanger
Exit Fm 455 in Sanger (go under i35) and head west towards Slidell
After going thru Slidell(very small town) Fm 455 will intersect hwy51
Take a right on hwy 51
Rocky Ridge will be on your left in 3-5miles.
If you go across a big creek(bridge), you went too far.

There used to be a small sign on the road. There is a long driveway up a hill. Some of the trails can be seen from Hwy51.

Decent trip. Wayyyyy too crowded on Sunday. I hadn't been to RR in years. I forgot exactly how rocky the place actually is.

Not only is it rocky, but it has ridges. Like Ruffles.
