What is the actual maintenance cost on a W250?

I keep hearing about the expensive maintenance on a four stroke and in particular on a WR250. I can get a 2003 WR250 for pretty cheap (seems lightly used) but if engine work is required at some time, what am I looking at to have the shop do it? Hundreds? Thousands?

if the shop is doing all the work... it will be hundreds labor fee's suck.

the parts arent all that bad, the mechanic is.
I own a wr250 and the valves havent moved at all in 7 years.
