how reliable is the klr 250

Since the gas prices are crazy I was thinking about getting a cheap bike to ride on the street. I found a 1990 klr250 for 450.00. I have not looked at it yet but it has like 18k miles on it. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this bike and if there are any known problems with them. It looks like the motor is unchanged for quite some time. Assuming its in good shape I will probably buy it, but if it a bike with tons of known reliability issues I will pass.

why not get an XR! at least then youl know that itl always start
