will it work on a stock 96xr250r? if I have to splice for power where would be the best place to get it? thanks

It shows it will work on a 96 or newer Honda XR250R. I would say the head light but i will let others tell you the best way to get the power for it.

I'd wire it the way the instructions tell you.

But I think 2 stroker would be correct in assuming the light circuit is where you'll get power.

yah I know it says for a 96 honda xr250 and up, but it also mentions some kind of dual sport kit that I dont have.
as far as splicing the light circut, Im currently powering a after market headlight (ufo sahara) do you think that installing this would zap too much power?

thanks for the replies btw.

Not sure, mabe wait for Rich to kick in.

I wouldn't think so. LCD displays, and most modern electronics take nominal current to run.

The manufacturer may be the best to ask.
