I am about to buy a 2004 250exc with a new top end, brakes and wheel bearings. Also has a FMF pipe and silencer for 2,700 is that a good deal.

Sounds alright. Go take a look at it ask for a test ride and see if its worth that value in your mind. Personlay i would go for it.

I did ride it. Had to sit on the gas tank to keep the front end down.

Yes it is a hard yet smooth bike. Well if you like that feeling buy it.
