as of right now i have a cr250r. i would like to start racing eventually. now, idk if i want to race the 250r or the 450r. i could even keep the CR and race in the 450 class. i want you guys to explain to me why it would be in my best interest to buy a 4 stroke. what are some benifits to racing a 4 stroke over my 2 stroke. i am 5' 6" tall and 150 pounds.

CRF250F would be a good choice at your weight.
I love two strokes but that's because I've been on them since 1978. I have ridden a few 450F's and I like them but I race for fun and I enjoy a well tuned two stroke.
The four strokes have more torque and offer better throttle response at low RPM's. They are more tractable in slick conditions.
The 250F class will offer you more competition and a lower cost to purchase than a 450F. It will also be an easier resale than a two stroke in the future in my opinion.

i planned on keeping my 2 stroke. and just buying another bike.
