Hey guys
got some bad new for everybody who rides the el mirage area.
starting in october of this year every vehicle driven into the OHV riding area will be forced to pay a permit fee
The permits are:
$15 for a one day permit, valid from dawn to dusk
$30 for a weekly permit, valid for 7 days
$90 for an annual permit, valid from October 1, 2008 - September 30, 2009
its a sad day for all of us who used to go out and just ride for a few hours before having to drive home to get to work and what not.
does anybody want to set up some sort of ride sometime in may? roughly the weekend of the 16th - 18th? maybe a good ride sat. and into sunday?

Great. They double our OHV sticker fee and then they charge us to access public land. The only good thing about this is that it might keep some of the bad apples out of that area.
A group ride in May sounds good to me. We have not had one in quite a while. Phelan, El Mirage, Bell Mountain, Gorman are all good places for a day ride. Put up a post as we get closer to May and I'm sure we can get a few guys together.

yea man its bull
just another way to get more money from us
but to be honest its probably because people go out there, and do everything they are not suppose to do
its how the world works, a small group of people ruin it for everybody else
