98 CR250 forks seals help.

Hay all..
I need some help with my front forks for the Honda CR250R 98 model.
the seals need replacing and i dont have a clue how to do it. but i gave it a go anyway. 
now i dont know what i did wrong or what i didn't do wrong but my suspension is soft.
I took the top off and took it all apart from there. i am told that u should have taken the bottom off too.
