Help with setup on quads

I would really appreciate some help on setting my (stock) suspension on my Honda 400EX for motocross racing. I dont have a clue when it comes to that. I just go as fast as I can untill I crash. I also need to figure out how to get it to sit a little lower (like my TRX 250R used to). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

The answer to both of your questions is an aftermarket suspension. A double or triple rate spring will allow for more sag which will lower the quad. You should also get +2 a-arms and a longer axle.
The 400ex does not have resevoirs on the front shocks and there is very little you can do to them to improve their performance. A cheaper alternative to expensive aftermarket shocks is to buy some used TRX450R front shocks and have them and your rear shock rebuilt by G.T. Thunder (or another reputable rebuilder). They will put dual springs on them and valve them for your weight and riding style. The rebuilt TRX450R shocks are pretty good (I run them on my Z-400 for MX) and they bolt right on (they may require a bit of grinding for clearance).
