Quick helmet question!

I picked out two new helmets - finally - for the coming season. 1 - a fox tracer pro. 2 - an AFX completely alike the one I have had for...7...er...8 actually..years
I'm a little concerned about weight, as I have a little neck and don't want that to break when I accelerate 
My current weighs about 2.6 pounds. My favorite pick weighs 3lbs 7oz. I've tried to do some comparisons, but am not having much luck with my searches.
Will the additional weight cause a lot of fatigue? Or, will I hardly notice it? OR...will I get used to it within a ride or two?

Your probably just get used to it.
