kickstart problem !

My '04 yz250f was running good one day I was on the track and i wiped out on a big table top. After I came to I got my bike up and all of a sudden I lost all compression in my kickstart. If i pushstart it still runs and runs good, but it just won't kick over. I was told to re shim the valves and it would give me my copression back. Does anybody have any ideas what they may think it is and also does anybody know the valvespecs for this bike ?

does your kick start lever move freely like it is turning the engine over, or is the lever moving but the motor is not turning over?

Does your bike have cable operated de-decompression?

it moves freely but acts like it is trying to start . I can push the kickstart down easily with my hand
