Just seen this on TV..... I

http://www.usmagazine.com/new-child...plastic-surgery

What....???

A kids book about why thier mommy has had plastic surgery? Dear oh dear......

Posted by: Papakeith---------------------

sad ain't it.

Posted by: RM_guy---------------------

Sad for sure. What are we teaching our kids--If it makes you feel good, do it and damn the rest of the world.

Posted by: whenfoxforks-ruled---------------------

"If it makes you feel good, do it and damn the rest of the world." Umm, as long as it is legal and moral, both of which are arguable! How about as long as it does not negatively effect others, then why make the statement? Was that video funded by plastic surgeons?

Follow up books in the series:
-My mommy got bigger implants than your mommy,
-Why mommy loks like a mummy.
-My mom's happy but she can smile, a Botox story.

I seriously wonder if any of the celebrities have viewed the older ones, who have been receiving treatments over the years, on hd tv. Look at their necks.

No kiddin' I like the streamlined look they get after a while. Looks like they were designed in a wind tunnel. I heard Joan Rivers has a big knot on the back of her head that they just tighten every few months.

Here's a couple more titles.

Why is mommy laying in bed screaming?

Why did mommy just tell me to fix my own *%#@&@ damn breakfast?

You know my wife and kids watch Biggest loser (so by default I've seen a few), and of all things that show teaches us that with a proper diet, excercise, and a peer group you can acheive the perceived impossible.

The book in question really should be from phsycologist not a plastic surgeon and Titled "why mommy feels ugly and tries to use a plastic surgeon to make her self feel better and still will need Dr Phil"

Posted by: Filthy_McNasty---------------------

That's no worse than "Sally has two mommies"...

You just gotta love this age of bleedin' heart LIberalism...

Twinny has no mommy, he was hatched in a lab.

Posted by: kiwijohn---------------------

Ha ha ... you guys crack me up

Apparently there is a line in the book which has the mommy explaining that "she has to get surgery because she's old now and her clothes don't fit any more "... and she "needs the surgery to make her happy again...."

It's written by a Plastic Surgeon by the way..... sigh.......

Let's keep diggin up these awesome book titles !!

"When Mommy and Daddy visited the Counsellor"

"Surprise your friends with Hog Anus this Christmas"

Me too - I like the fact those people actually have to do the work.... it takes some of them a while but you can see the change in their attitudes and habits as the weeks go by. Good on them I say!

I like Biggest Loser ............ and Mythbusters. What a cool job that would be!

Posted by: _JOE_---------------------

I think they should put the people from Biggest Loser on dirtbikes. They would definately lose some weight!
Oh, and when I smile I have these little lines on my face, do you think 5grand worth of surgery could fix it up?

Good News!!!
After watching the very realistic tv show "Desperate Housewives of NYC" with my wife the other evening, I am elated to say that most of these "in touch" women are coming out with their own books!!!

Awesome - I wonder what sort of reading they will be?

"How my cruel upbringing shaped me into the actor I am today"

Quotes from the text - I can only talk about his now, years later, but once (sniff.... tears) my father forced us to holiday in an RV! I was so disgusted. People in the camp we stayed at were eating red meat almost every day! My father was so cruel......"

Yeah, sadly we are living in an age of total hedonism; it's ancient Rome all over again...maybe we can clone Billy Graham.

Some reactions from a friend (who is a guy) inspired these future titles...

"Mommy's new boyfriend wants me to have surgery"

"Mommy wants new breasts, and sugar daddy has too much money"

"Mommy wants to look as good as Daddy's new girlfriend"

Given, I really have no problem with people who are not models.

But when someone goes overboard, and won't put any time or effort into staying healthy, and uses surgery as a "quick fix," without really exploring other options...that is almost beyond belief!

Who would need a stupid book to convey a "socially acceptable" *excuse* to a CHILD. They shouldn't be parents.

I'm not sure why I chose psychology, as it looks like I'll be working with a lot of people like this...Geeze...
