Ya know that kick starter bothers the shat outa me! I have been looking on the web & sleaze bay for ever to find another one but this shizz is rare and hard to find! If the kick starter was worth it I would just have it re chromed.

Ah, but you assume that others did not notice said kickstarter. Perhaps they, in the interest of not publically humiliating Mr. Bling...er DW, decided not to speak up on the unsightly nature of the kickstarter. (but a good protective move on your part!)

I can only dream of my Penton looking as nice as either of yours!

Am I imagining this or did I not see where you posted a photo of a white Penton some time ago? Was that the same bike or do you have another one? Or was that a bike that you did not end up buying?

Speaking of vintage bikes, I was in the Thor tent at Redbud last Sunday waiting for the racing to start when I heard a sound I had not heard in years from behind me. I turned around and saw a guy riding an original mint condition 1974 TM250 on the road next to the tent. I got so excited I jumped the fence to go see the bike and talk to the owner who was smiling from ear to ear. He told me he had just come from the pits where he was successful in getting Mr. Decoster to autograph the gas tank! Very cool!
