All I can say is this is one smooth ass bike! By far the nicest 450f I have ever owned or ridden, I had an 05 YZ450f and an 07 ktm 450sxf <<(biggest POS I ever owned) and neither of them even came close to the crisp smooth power delivery throughout the entire range of throttle, the power rolls on so smooth it inspires a great deal of confidence, super stable at all speeds and this thing launches out of berms like a friggen missile! I picked it up used and it has never been raced and is in mint, I mean pristeen condition, I did a complete tune up, plug, air filter, oil and filter, chain clean and lube, tightened spokes, front fork seal savers, larger skid plate and made all personal prefrence adjustments and absolutely can not wait to get some real seat time in this weekend!

Glad to hear you like the new bike! My buddy got an 08 this spring and that thing rips. Like you said, it's really smooth and predictable, but when you drop the hammer you better be hangin on.

Congrats on the new bike!

The KX450's I've ridden in the woods have impressed the heck out of me. Never taken one on a track, but I'll bet it's awesome there as well. The motor is incredible, the bike feels light and it corners great.

Well it's inspiring to hear good words from actual owners/users of the machine. I'm getting ready to purchase a brand new 07 left over maybe tomorrow. This will be my first 4-stroke coming off of countless KX250 2-strokes, hope it doesn't disappoint in power & handling. I like the newer aluminum frame over the older steel frame on the 250 2-stroke, it feels built when I sat on it. Wish me luck, lol.

Well I picked mine up brand new off the showroom today. I find it amazing and scary at the same time that there's bikes brand new sitting on the showroom for 2/3 years. Heck I found a dealer with a 04 KX250 still sitting on the floor, lol. Anyway I'll post pics tomorrow, not that anyone cares, but I care, lol. I'll give a ride report when the weather breaks, this is my first 4-stroke MX bike. From everything I've read on it, seems like I won't be disappointed in it - feels good and comfortable just sitting on it, heh. Now I just need the snow to melt and weather warm up.
