back tire?

Hello, I have a 2003 crf450r, and after crashing pretty hard I noticed that when I was doing some maintenance, the rear tire can be moved from left to right a considerable distance. The axle is tight, but the spokes seem to be the problem. Does this sound like a swingarm bearing, or do I need a new rim? If this does not make sense let me know and I will try to explain it better.

Thanks,

Dave

Sounds like you have loose spokes. Search this site on how to tighten them. There are some good explanations with excellent detail.

Could be wheel bearings. You need to find out where the movement is originating.

hey joe, how do I find out where it is originating from?

Grab the wheel and move it. If the hub is wobbling it's the bearings. If it's only the rim itself it's the spokes.

hey guys thanks a ton for the help. All I had to do was tighten the spokes, and my tire was good to go.
Again, thanks a bunch.

Dave
