Actually the MkII has been pretty good, but I just don't use it very much since getting the 5D. I traded the MkII even for the 40D with grip and 2 batteries + 135L. Not a bad deal.

Bummer about the house and the 300. I'd been kicking myself for not buying your 300 f4 at Millville for awhile now so I picked one of those up a few weeks back. Cool blog

Ya, that 300 f4 is a great lens for the money. A bit slow (really slow) when the light goes down, but really fast in good light.
